| Sabayon Linux business desktop goes gold |

 The Italy-based Sabayon Linux project has released version 1.0 of the new enterprise-oriented edition of its desktop operating system. Sabayon Business Edition Linux 1.0 features a 2.6.22 Linux kernel and both KDE and GNOME desktop environments, along with a comprehensive set of application software.
Sabayon's Business Edition distribution is positioned by the team as a "fast, cheap and stable solution for every office need," and is available in x86 and x86-64 editions. In its announcement of the release, the team claimed Sabayon Linux to be "the only distribution that recognizes your hardware perfectly..."
The development of the project's Business Edition was motivated by demand from customers who are not interested in games and desktop acceleration, the team said.
